Arjuna along with Lord Krishna is the protagonist of the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata and plays a key role in the Bhagavad-Gita alongside Krishna. The chariot on which both, Sri Krishna and Arjuna, rode was donated by Agni (the fire-god) to Arjuna, and that was indication that this chariot was capable of conquering all directions, wherever it was drawn through out the three worlds. This painting is symbolic of our inner instruments to train the mind and senses.
The Bhagavad Gita is the story of invoking and trusting Divine Guidance in order to gain Peace and Enlightenment. Although we must fight the battle in life alone, we are not truly alone: we have Divine Guidance, our personal Charioteer, our Krishna, and our Atman assisting us throughout every battle we must fight with each of our Inner Demons.
It is an epic painting and teaches us to trust the higher forces and be our own drivers of the mind. This piece of art is truly unique as there are 2 historic characters and 4 mystical horses: more than 10 different groups and 30 shades of precious gemstones are used in every step and it takes 10 days to complete it. Meticulous attention to details and expertise of technique make this painting extremely realistic and precise. It also brings power and certainty into the house because of the real precious gemstones.
