Cows and Lord Krishna have always been together. Krishna had a unique love relation to sacred cows: Krishna was brought up in a family with Yadavas who used to take care of the cows and their milk. Lord Krishna loved to drink milk and eat butter made from milk. In the spiritual world Krishna is a cowherd boy and also called Makhan Chor (the butter chief), the eternal ruler of hearts who stole butter from the neighbourhood.

The very word Govinda, which is a famous name of Lord Krishna, means “one who brings satisfaction to the cows”. And Lord Krishna has many such transcendental names which reflect His relationship to the cows. Gopala means “the protector of the cows”, and Krishna is famous throughout India as bala-gopala, “the child who protects the cows". Cow in India is also treated as Mother.

Uniqueness of this painting is that it speaks innocence and care, and when you look at this painting for a long, it purifies your soul and brings satisfaction. There are more than 7 different groups and 20 shades of precious gemstones used, and it takes 10 days to complete this sacred painting.
