Where creativity meets sustainability
Jaipur was built in 1757, and Mughals made it cultural centre which attracted all the artisans and artists, and over the course of time Jaipur became the biggest supplier of gemstones from all over the world. The idea of using gemstones in art is not a new concept in Rajasthan: Jaipur has been a cultural centre, a global trading hub for precious and semi precious stones and traditional and ethnic jewellery for it since centuries. Me and my father started to work with gemstones in the form of paintings which is an example of how our creativity meets sustainability by closing the economic cycle of manufacturing the gemstones. We use various gemstones in our paintings such as Amethyst, Aventurine, Agate, Blood Stone, Citrine, Carnelian, Garnet, Crystals, Jasper, Labradorite, Lapis Lazulite, Malachite, Moon Stone, Onyx, Peridot, Serpentine, Sodalite, Turquoise, and many more. Use of gemstones is very common all over the world: gemstones are used as a remedy for the bad phases in life based on astrological planter constellation during the birth, they are used to nullify the ill effects for luck, fortune and success of the individual. Gemstones are an integral part of human history, representing wealth and power, and they give different energies which heal and make the environment full of happiness and prosperity.
